That Great Fall
THE ONCE GRAND AND MAJESTIC THEATERS OF THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY, now nothing but warehouses, bingo halls or simply abandoned space.
Feels much like my own affinity for theater, having spent much of my teenage summers performing onstage but eventually extinguishing that passion to pursue more "modern" or lucrative enterprises.
I was a coloratura soprano once, something that I am very much proud of, and I like to believe I was a good actress. The last musical performance I gave however was seven long years ago playing the lead in Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance. That was fun.
Oh my god I miss the stage.
