IT WAS CECIL B. DE MILLE'S The Ten Commandments that sparked my childhood love affair with Egyptian culture, as well as my fantasy of becoming a glamorous Anne-Baxter-esque queen. I never satisfied either, with a trip to Egypt still unfulfilled and well, dreams of reigning over ancient lands quite outgrown.
But if only for having given me my first glimpse of glamor and feminine charm, Ms. Baxter will always take the crown as my most favorite screen siren of all.
