OUTLIVING ANY MAN OR BEAST THAT EVER LIVED, the majestic mountains of the earth stand great and strong, touching the stars above and watching the world below.
They were there when our grandparents were children. When their grandparents were children. Through the wars and the peace and the shifts in the short yet significant mortal lives; lives which they can never know.
And so we remember those whose fleeting lives had finished. May they be touching the stars above and watching the world below. And may they be there through our own faults and folds, our own wars and peace, and through the rest of our lives, as we can only wish they could.
